Chapter Projects

Soldiers of the National Guard

A collection project for Soldiers of the National Guard was presented at meetings. Both the Lydia Prescott CDXVIIC and the Philip Schoff USD 1812 will participate.

Click here to see a list of items that may be donated. Peggy Bostic (a member of the 1812 group) has a son who will collect these items and see that they go to the proper place. Peggy's son said we could add some kids items from the dollar stores, like coloring books and crayons, small balls, etc for the guys to hand our to the kids around the camp.

Used Books Collection

Children's books are welcomed at Columbus Hospital waiting rooms. Books collected at regular meetings will delivered by members Karen Loy and Kathy Amos.

Scholarships

Chapter Scholarship

The Brown-Gillian Award of $500, is presented by the Chapter in even numbered years to a senior majoring in American History at an Indiana college or university. Contact Lucy Jacobs, Chapter Award Chairman for further details.

Indiana State Scholarship

An Indiana State Scholardhip is available to an Indiana high school senior. Contact Kristin Stanley, State Scholarship Chairman for further details at 474 W 500 N, Anderson, IN 46012.
